NO PLANES ARE INCLUDED-THEY ARE FOR SCALE REFERENCE ONLY. This listing is for one very large ground foil of a fictional CVN-88 aircraft carrier. It is great for a large diorama and can display many 1:200 planes. After looking at the current ground foils available; I found their basic details and repeating patterns unrealistic and overpriced. So I made this graphic to better complement the detail found in 1:200 military jet fighter planes. Since high resolution photos of aircraft carriers are impossible to find, everything had to be simulated in the computer. This product represents over 70 hours of work and consists of 24 different graphic layers to replicate a weathered aircraft carrier. Many home PCs can’t even process a file this large and complex. I hope buyers will appreciate the various markings, deck textures, skid marks, oil stains, jet blasts, and shadows I put into this image. A keen eye will notice the painted lines are realistically rendered above the many water runoff drains. A lazy designer would just omit the drains where the deck lines overlap them, but that’s not how real carriers are made. So I painstakingly rendered the lines above the drains. Neither my time or this item is cheap, it is not meant for the average person. Tip1: If you want a semi-permanent (truly flat) display, I recommend using a light coat of 3M Super 77 adhesive spray since it is not permanent in small doses. Or just use double sided tape for a temporary layout. Tip2: Although it can take paints, I found spraying with matte clear makes everything look hazy white= bad. · Graphics are printed directly onto canvas. · Far more durable than paper or plastic backings. · UV resistant pigment inks for years of indoor fade-free color. · No risk of graphics peeling like cheaper paper laminates. · Water resistant ink; no damage if you wipe off spills quickly. · Graphics show realistic details: shadows, weathering, paint/tarmac textures, and oil/fuel stains. · Accepts acrylic paints (matte finish) if you want to weather it even more. · Paper foils can only be glued down once, but canvas can be used multiple times when weaker glues are used.
