AIRCRAFT CARRIER USS FORRESTAL NAVY TIN BATTERY OPERATED N MINT IN BOX WORKS 50s. Here is a rare battery operated USS Forrestal Aircraft Carrier. This toy is almost 14 inches long, made of tin. The toy was made by Linemar Japan in the 1950’s right around the time that this supercarrier was commissioned in 1955. The carrier has a few actions, it rolls along while the navy plane on deck goes back and forth and while the airplane over head circles around as the small light in front flashes on and off. Believe it or not this large tin toy and all those actions only require one D cell battery. All the guns on both sides are there. The box is in excellent condition, the label excellent.
