Vintage 1973 Flight Deck Game Phantom Aircraft Carrier by Airfix England RARE. A super rare vintage 1973 Flight Deck game by Airfix. Great graphics on box. (please examine all pictures carefully as they form part of the item description). In 1973 the Airfix Model company produced a revolutionary new type of toy for the UK market. Its name was Flight Deck. It consisted of a Control column based loosely on a fighter cockpit and a mock-up of an aircraft carriers deck which was made from plastic and printed cardboard. By means of a simple pulley system attached to the top of the control column and an object such as a chair, a model F4 Phantom was able to make landings on the mock-up carrier deck. Overall Box Dimensions: Length 17, Width 9-1/2, Height 4 (all measurements approx). Condition: In good working condition consistent with age and use. There is what looks like an old repair to one of the flight deck flag arms. The box has some wear from storage.
