She provided cover for the Doolittle Raid on mainland Japan and took part in many famous battles, including the Battle of Midway, the Battle of the Philippines, and more. After the war, she took part in “Operation Magic Carpet” and brought U. The Enterprise was decommissioned in 1947 and dismantled in 1958.
