Joe USS Flagg Aircraft Carrier- Near complete. There was no greater status symbol for fans of G. Joe in 1985 than the USS Flagg aircraft carrier from Hasbro. Named after General Lawrence J. Flagg, the comic-book character who created the G. Joe team and was later slain by Cobra, and inspired by the Navys actual USS Nimitz aircraft carrier, the USS Flagg was a towering hunk of plastic measuring just over seven feet long and three and a half feet wide. With a box itself that measured 42 inches wide, it remains the largest G. Joe toy ever created. This set was donated to the USS Saratoga Museum Foundation in 2006, and as best as we can determine it was never fully assembled. It is inexplicably missing the ends of both decksalthough we may eventually find those pieces when we unpack from our move. We are not experts, so we cannot tell for sure what is missing. We do see there is no arresting cable system, no radar dish, nor have we found the battery powered microphone. However, we do have the admirals launch, the instruments from the bridge including all 3 seats and the ships wheel. We also have all six red-tipped missiles.
