HMS Queen (D 19) Ships Badge – Ruler-class Escort Aircraft Carrier – Unmounted. This circular aluminium plaque is painted and depicts a gold orb on a purple diamond against a gold background. This is a one off metal casting taken from the original, no duplicates were made. She was transferred to the Royal Navy under the Lease-Lend Agreement to Great Britain and became the 12th RN warship too bear the name when commissioned as HMS QUEEN on completion of build on 7th December 1943. US Navy radar outfits were fitted during build. Dimensions The badge has a total height of 18 inches (46cm). It has a diameter of 14 inches (36cm). Condition The plaque is in decent condition with some rubbing to the surface.
