The entire poster or wall hanger measures 56″ by 32″, fairly large color cutaway of a “Typical Aircraft Carrier”, done by Jim Ray. It’s been folded and unfolded along the crease lines many times over the years and one section has detached as you can see. Generally the front is pretty clean, has some toning from age, a few stains and spots, no markings. The back has one note in pen. I don’t see any indication that this is one particular carrier, the legend indicates it’s “typical”, although the note on the back indicates it might have been named. For comparisons sake, my poster doesn’t have those squinched and wrinkled areas along the folds. Nor is the paper weakened anywhere. It does have one fold line with a few very light scuffs and two dot or speck-sized punctures (like the size of the period ending this sentence). Also the white section of my poster has some uniform age tanning, which I think actually looks quite good and fits the time period of its production. My poster is separate but comes with, and was neatly folded inside, a four-page (I’ll call it) dust jacket, the front page of which says U. Enterprise and “For Outstanding Performance in Action”. There’s also a color drawing on the front The two pages inside are titled Aircraft Carrier Enterprise–“Workhorse Of War”. There’s a four column description surrounded by a black-and-white representation of The Enterprise In The Battle Of Midway. On the back page it says History Of Ships Bearing The Name U. Underneath that are two columns of text describing that history, and under that is a note titled Preserve Your Enterprise Poster suggesting the best thing you want to do is have it mounted by a professional picture framing company.
