I will be listing a large quantity of toys over the next few weeks. Check out my other auctions for many more 1950’s – 1960’s Japan boxed battery operated, wind-up, and friction toys. Very nice 9.5 long 1950’s Japan tin friction aircraft carrier in original box. This toy has very colorful lithography and is of all tin construction with rubber tires underneath. It features a nice tin helipcopter on deck that has spinning rotors when the friction is engaged, and there are 2 nice tin litho jet airplanes affixed to the deck (one of them with a flint wheel underneath that would have thrown sparks out, sparks no longer). The friction still works great with the rotors spinning (just no spark). The toy is marked NS Made in Japan underneath. The litho is still super clean and glossy with almost no wear. The chrome plated rotor is even bright and shiny still. It still even has the original U. Flag on the bridge! It comes with it’s original box that has a nice graphic of the carrier at sea with a helicopter flying away from the deck. The box is very solid with some of the original inserts.
