This impressive USS Kitty Hawk CVA-63 commemorative wall plaque is a heavy cast bronze piece featuring a raised relief of the Wright Brothers’ airplane flying over the waters of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. The detailed design pays tribute to the legendary aircraft carrier’s namesake and makes an outstanding display piece for any Navy veteran, military collector, or aviation enthusiast. The plaque measures approximately 8 inches across (see ruler photos) and has two threaded mounting studs on the back for secure wall display. It is exceptionally heavy, with a rich aged bronze patina that gives it wonderful character. I believe it to be cast bronze, though I cannot guarantee the exact alloy. It is in very good vintage condition with light age-appropriate wear, a beautiful natural patina, and no cracks or repairs.
