This is a Pre-WWII to WWII U. Navy cap tally for the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CV-6). The USS Enterprise has a storied World War II history, participating in most of the major campaigns in the Pacific, including the Battle of Midway and the Naval Battles of Guadalcanal.
