Multiple Toymakers Ideal Take Apart Helicopter Sikorsky H-19 Power Patrol NMIB
Multiple Toymakers “Power Patrol Helicopter” No. 2938 Reissue of Classic 1950s Sikorsky H-19 “Take Apart Helicopter” by Ideal Multiple Toymakers Inc. 13″ long with 12″ rotor span.. Multiple Toymakers (a 1990s reincarnation of MPC) produced this “Take-Apart” helicopter from the original Ideal Toy Corp. It is nearly identical to the classic Baby-Boomer toy which was based on a Korean War era Sikorsky H-19/S-55 Chickasaw Utility Helicopter and appeared in the Ideal “Take Apart” line around 1955. This toy includes external stretcher/litter carriers, a visible engine with removable covers and rotating main rotors and tail rotor. Also included, are two 2 inch figures of a pilot and ground crewman. These figures are recasts from the Marx Ground Personnel (45mm) molds that Multiple had in stock and also issued in header bags in this period. This kit has been assembled and all parts are intact with the instruction sheet. When I first acquired this kit it was tape sealed but Multiple did not use quality tape and, with age, it has yellowed. Except for the yellow tape stains, the box is in excellent condition with no splits, tears or other stains. Typical of the original Ideal product, the opening doors of the engine compartment are almost impossible to close (see photos). I have not used any glue on this kit and it can be taken totally apart. The plastic has no cracks or breaks. An interesting addition to any collection. Near Mint in Box condition. Note: The grid squares in the photos are 1 inch. They will supply the costs. They are what they are. FEEDBACK : I always reply to feedback. I will leave feedback after you receive your item, are happy with it and leave feedback for me.
